Faking of Earth view during Apollo 11, supposedly viewed from 110 000 miles on the way to the Moon. The astronauts are in low Earth orbit, they have put a transparent over the window, all lights are shut and the other windows are closed so the spacecraft is completely in the dark, and the camera is far from the window and films it so the blue circle looks like the Earth seen from a far distance.

Wrong hypothesis ?
Thanks for your comment, but I cannot validate your hypothesis.
Why shouldn't we see the Earth rotate ? The Apollo CSM is in low-earth orbit, not on a geostationnary orbit. It moves above the Earth surface, so we have this impression that the planet we see through the window is moving or rotating.

Excellent Footage, but Description is False
The description indicates that the astronauts engineered a hoax by placing a transparency on the window and filming it from the opposite side of the spacecraft. This statement can not be true, given the evidence.
I shall now demonstrate science.
The Hypothesis: If this is a hoax, using a transparency on a window, as described, we should not see the Earth rotate.
Observation: Earth is shown at similar magnification and frame orientation at about 1'30' and 7'30".
The Data: Earth rotates 360º in a 24 hour period. 24 hours x 60 minutes = 1440 minutes in a day. 360º / 1440 minutes = 0.25º per minute. Earth is shown over a span of 6 minutes. 6 minutes x 0.25º per minute = 1.5º. More than enough for a simple visual inspection.
The Test: If the hypothesis is true, we should not see any rotation when comparing frames from the beginning and end of this range indicated above.
Procedure: I downloaded the video and captured frames near 1'30" and 7'30". The frames were aligned and overlaid, such that they could easily be compared by showing and hiding the uppermost frame.
The Result: The two frame comparison shows obvious rotation. Rotation is especially conspicuous near the limb.
The hoax description is falsified. Science for the win.
But you don't have to take my word for it. Try it yourself! :)
